Go on--beat the crap out of him!
This seems pretty reasonable to me.
"Enraged parents beat up an Indian headmaster who threatened teenage girls with a cane to force them to strip and then photographed them, police said on Thursday."
After beating him, they humiliated him, and THEN took him to the cops. Now, why can't we do that here??

Do you mean the threatening with a cane or just beating up people?
Personally I'm surprised that they managed to stop beating him, I don't think I could have if it were my kids!
You know, if there was more outrage and social consequences for crimes such as stalking, date rape, and domestic violence, I bet within 20 years the incidence of those crimes would drop dramatically. Unfortunately, people who commit those crimes are not ostracized by co-workers, family, and community members because of their actions. In fact, usually the victim is blamed, so if the perpetrator has any consequences to their actions legally, they actually get pity.
How many times would a man beat his wife if the community gave him a beatdown of his own after each episode of it? Or if his neighbors shunned him?
Someone who hurts another person, and the only person who tells them the action is wrong is the person they hurt... they can rationalize it so that the violence was an acceptable action. However, if everywhere they turned they faced criticism for their action, they may just learn that EVERYONE finds their behavior unacceptable, not just the victim or "meanie" cops.
I know what you mean! People who ignore the rights of another have automatically waived their own rights!
Damn political correctness! Let's beat up those pervs!
Why can't we do that here? Um, I guess because we're so afraid of stepping on some pedophile's rights that we let consistently our children suffer instead.
I don't get it.
I would need to beat him with more than a cane:)
As a teenager I used to say that they should whack off a rapist's genitals with a rusty machete. I've now expanded that thought to include all sex offenders and add some alcohol dumped on afterward (after the infection begins) too!
Now why can't we do that? Hummmm because these pervs have rights. Funny the victims have rights too, but that seems to get forgotten somewhere along the line.
I totally agree d bunny that we would have less crime if there were better consequences for it.
Yeah, I guess they have to have rights, eh? Still, maybe after they're proven guilty in a court of law, the parents/victims could beat them up? I know it would make me feel better...
