Enough!

Does anyone know how to get cats to stop bringing presents in the house? Namely dead birds? You know, the kind with the intestines hanging out and usually minus a head? Our windows don't have screens, so the cats come and go as they please, and at least once a day we find some sort of dead animal in the hallway...

We can't close the windows cause we don't have air conditioning, and we can't afford to screen them all... And we want to keep the kitties--we don't mind them killing the mice and moles they find, just don't want them in the house.

YUCK! I'm sick of cleaning up animal guts! Suggestions, please??
