White smoke, black past
I found this really interesting... the new Pope used to be part of the Hitler youth and was in the Nazi army. Hmm....does make one think, doesn't it? It does make me glad I'm not Catholic, though. St. Malachy, an Irish Archbishop of Armagh in the 12th century, predicted that the next pope after Benedict will be the last. St. Malachy is most famous for his prophecies in which he supposedly predicted all the popes from his day to the present. Interesting, I would have thought that the Nazi pope would be the best suited to preside over the "end of days". Makes me wonder who they could elect next that would be worse?
